BSM frequently puts workers through various TAFE and/or Workcover accredited courses in order to expand their skills and knowledge.
Like most recruitment companies BSM advertises in a variety of media to recruit personnel. All our personnel are interviewed and reference checked under strict guidelines before being sent to a client. What differentiates BSM is that a majority of our personnel come through word of mouth through our knowledge of the industry and the people within it. This allows extremely accurate references to be obtained. Most of our clientele use BSM ahead of our competitors for this very reason. BSM is not a “revolving door” for high turnover workers.
BSM offers customised skills testing for tradespersons in a fully operational engineering workshop. This may involve practical tests (e.g. Welding procedures) or theoretical assessments. In addition to this, BSM frequently puts workers through various TAFE and/or Workcover accredited courses in order to expand their skills and knowledge. These include Green Card and forklift courses amongst others. BSM willingly endeavours to cater for specific needs of our clients upon request.
All BSM workers undergo full induction upon joining our business. Induction includes training and education on our safety management systems and procedures. Prior to commencing a placement BSM workers are provided with basic safe work procedures relevant to the work they are likely to undertake on a client site. It is a requirement of all placements that all BSM workers are fully inducted into the host employer’s workplace. BSW representatives visit each host employer, as soon as reasonably practicable, after the commencement of a placement to ensure all our workers have been properly inducted by the host employer, and this includes, where relevant, site and task specific induction. In addition BSM will review the host’s safety arrangements, including supervision arrangements, relevant to the work our workers are carrying out.
Over a period of time our workers have benefited from BSM’s diversity of clientele. This has allowed BSM to develop a multiskilled, flexible and knowledgeable workforce. Capable of undertaking most assignments.
BSM do not send workers who cannot do the job or may risk the safety of others.
